A locally disturbed tear film changes the scattering properties of the cornea considerably. For this reason, the optical section of the cornea may become irregular.
Use a tear supplement to prevent quick tear breakup time.
Let the patient close and open their eyes several times to replenish the tear film on the cornea. Release the measurement immediately afterwards.
